Team Question

Any body have any "words of wisdom" to tell about teaming with a partner (not your significant other) ???

I guess what I'm asking is anyone out there running with a partner now...If so, How long.....???
How is it working ???
Benefits...pitfalls ???? Handling expenses and paying ...etc.

Just thought I'd get a little insight as I'm probably needing to find a partner once I get started

Thanks,

Tazman

RE: Team Question

The best thing I have read and most accurate, I read here on the forum that someone else posted. I sure whish I could remember who.

Anyway, they said take a cooler full of pop and sandwiches, and go lock yourselves in the bathroom for a week.

Thats about the size of it. Not a lot of room, so I would make darn sure it's someone you really get along with. I am a newbie myself, but I have driven both team and solo. You get more miles done team, but at the end of a week driving team I am usually more tired than I am from solo. I think it's because the rest I get in the sleeper when the truck is moving is not real good. I tend to wake up with every deceleration, acceleration, lane change, and decent bump in the road.

Hope this helps!

RE: Team Question

Thanks for the note...

I know that having enough room is important......
But I'm flexible...and have lived in fairly close quarters

What other kinds of obstacles did you encounter???....
Like who picked up who after a layover...or did you live close enough ???

How did you handle fuel payments ??? Split costs ???

What prompted you to back to solo ?(sorry if it's personal..I understand)

Would you got SOLO right from the start....If you could start over ???

Thanks for you input....
