I have a truck but I have run a cargo van in the past. I did NOT hook up my aux power in my truck, as it was already set up when I got it. The aux power runs on several batteries rather than a generator. If you run the a/c or heat all night, you just need to crank the truck first thing in the morning to recharge the batteries.
