    Boise ID

Hey all, new here wanted to say hi and mention the Flying J at exit 54, I-84 Boise ID. Went by the TA on the way to our drop Fri morning and didn't see any other signs so after drop we returned to the TA. TA Filled quickly Friday night, and was full by dark. Saturday we made a Wallmart trip for supplies, when crossing over the interstate to the entry ramp we spotted a little Flying J sitting on the North side (No 100' tall sign indicating it's presence). On our return we thought we would check it out.

When we arrived we became surprised at the amenities that were on the north side. There were no big indicators of what was there. The J was older but clean, never did fill up totally at night, and was pretty quite. But the best part was what was in walking distance. (there was nothing around TA) Arby's, IHOP, KFC, A&W, a couple of bar/restaurants, Walgreen's, Home Depot, Fred Meyer, Petco. these are the majors there was more little shops there also. The longest walk was Home Depot 5-10min. Turned out nice for us, we were there until Tuesday night . Doesn't seem to be much Exp freight out of Boise. Really a nice little spot if you get hung up there.

Buy one of those "next exit" books, and you will always know what is on the other side of the freeway.

The Small J was a Burns Bros when J bought them out. 20 Miles east (south) on 84 is the Stage Stop. Very nice place too.. Not as much around it but the truck stop itself is good.
