    Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mountain

FYI, we had some time to kill last weekend and decided to stop at Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse with our D unit. You can even get an 18 wheeler in both of those places, but I wouldn't do it during the busy season. Stay on Rt 16 truck route and you'll be OK. We were lucky enough to get a full inspection at the scale with our empty 6 wheeler while about 100 or so 18 wheelers rolled thru without even a second look. Mt. Rushmore was 10 bucks and Crazy Horse was 20 and worth every penny of it. Crazy Horse was started in 1948 by one guy. He has since died and 7 of his 10 kids have taken over the project. It might be 100 years until it's done, but they've got a great Native American museum and resturant. It was well worth the time to get there, but I wish we had more time to spend while we were there.

We were able to take a tour last fall and I cannot believe how many years we put off seeing these sites. We were able to see a few more places on the tour and it was a very long day.

    Amazing sites for sure.

We haven't been there in a few years (since I dumped the point and shoot) but is an awesome place to visit and there is soo much to see and do.
Especially if you grab a rental car.
Glad you got to see it
