Is joke. Barney like Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck.

Re: Truck stop safety?
After I started doing that the late night knocking stopped, guess they thought I had one in there or they wern't gonna do the same sex thing. In my van I always parked in view of the gas pumps and the front door. never had any knocks either, but I sure saw stuff down the row from me.

Re: Truck stop safety?
Don't stay at truckstops in the lowrent neighborhoods. [Whatever else it says, graffiti says keep moving.]
Don't drive t/t. In about a year driving t/t, I was awakened by 'working girls' several times a month. In five years driving a van & D unit, not even once.
Stick to the 'TravelCenter' truckstops, rather than the old school places, as they're more family oriented.
If there's nowhere to park [truckstops full, or none around], look for a big box [Lowes, Best Buy, Staples], megamart [WalMart, SuperKMart, Target] or a grocery store to park.
Most important: never EVER look, feel, or act like a victim - walk as if you belong there [you do, don't you?] and you don't expect to be bothered, and you generally won't be.

Re: Truck stop safety?
We have been "bothered" by "lot lizards" a couple of times. We just tell them to leave and they did. We saw one once who was very proud of her work. She drove by us, waving at us and smiling. As she drove be we saw the plate on her car. It read "LTLZZRD" Mrs. Layoutshooter and I cracked up!!
Cheri is right. Walk like you belong. Head up, strong steps. Look everyone in the eye. Bad guys/girls/it's don't like to be "noticed". You have every right to be there, scum don't.
