When I was in a s/t, I would always go to The Grand Rapids area. I was always out of there in no time, with good loads.

Must be nice....Everyone has a load except for little ol' me....still sittin at the #3 position on the Akron board. They we're having qc problems at the office and somehow my van got placed "out of service" when I didn't want it to. I never called in...I didn't send a message across the qc either. It just mysteriously place my van oos which may have cost me a load. Also haven't been paid in 3 weeks, but that's another story.

102 away? Heck, If I was that close, I would of went home first, no matter what day of the week it is.For 2 hours of driving, you could be sleeping in a nice, warm bed, etc, and be at home until something pops up. Just think of the money you may save in the long run by doing this also.

I may move to the milwaukee area if not loaded by this evening. But I usually had good luck out of this area in the past, but I dont want to stay here forever, either.Plus, it is closer to home, and that is a good thing.

We are now at the TA in Florence, KY. Have a AM pickup in Cinci, going to St. Louis. Then, later that evening, picking up in St. Louis headed for Wixom, MI. If all goes well we will take the weekend off at home.

    Re: February 2010 Location

We were conned into taking a five stopper, when we were trying to get home. 7 weeks is a little too long for me to be out. Little ones have missed me for over a month.

Anyways, I accepted a load going from KS to VT. Only after that, I find out it's a 5 stopper! Only after I pickup did I find out one of the stops is in Queens!!! So now, a 1.5 day load is turning into 3. I don't like being lied to (or withheld information, in this case), and have already talked to another company regarding residence for my truck. But I've calmed down from that, FOR NOW.

But ultimately, this has made me realize a lot of things. One of which being that I need to be a father more than I need to be an expediter. I have a feeling I'll be hanging up the OTR keys shortly, and keep my eyes open for something local.

So anyways, sitting at the Bordentown Petro, waiting to deliver the Queens drop in the morning; so we can pu a load 10 miles from our final drop in northern VT. One thing I can say about C&M, they are resourceful... even if they're bastiges!

Good luck my friend. You are correct, being a father is by far the most important thing you can do for your kids. I truly hope you can find something around the area. I know how tough that is right now. Our area is really hurting as you well know.

I will keep my ears open and if I hear of anything I will let you know.

    Talking Re: February 2010 Location

Still sitting at home here in Cali. Just got three of the four pulmber shelves out of my van. The last one has two bolts that are stripped to the floor. I'm going to have to use a grinder to get them up this weekend. Then it is plywood and e-track to be put down and a tune up. Hopefully i'll be ready to rock and roll by the 25th of this month. Then i'm coming out on the road to steal all of your freight!!! That includes TJP, OVM, Cheff, and Guido!!
