A few questions come to mind: did you have a written contract with the owner? If so, what did it say about returning the truck?
And why are you worrying about it now - 2 years later?

All you can do now is get a copy of your DAC report, and see what's on it.
No matter what the provocation, refusal to return a truck to it's owner could cause you serious trouble - as in being charged with grand theft.
I'm not sure how to contest [or explain] any negative info on the DAC, but if you get a copy, the procedure should be explained along with it.

ya but i did not fefuse to return truck.i didnt have the money to and he knew were the truck was at all times.in my front yard so no grand theft auto there !it would have been if i took truck and he never found it maybe.the owner should have had better plan if truck broke down instead of having to wait so long to get it fixed.and then not paying me on last two loads was pretty messed up to.but thats besides the point .there should be a place to report bad owners like this to save others from same hardships.this type of bussiness i learned quick you have to own your own truck to survive out there.the only thing owners care about really is the bottom dollar for there pockets

Search this site for posts about DAC. What you most likely got is an abondenment. Which in all honesty you did abonden the truck. Even though it was in your front yard. The same thing happened to me, but I took the truck back to the owner. I've posted a few times here what you have to do to clear it up. I'm honestly to tired now to re type it (It's rather lengthy). You can always search DAC or some other closely related keywords and find a wealth of knowledge.

The only thing about reporting an owner is there is no way to do that. All you have is he said she said with no hard core evidence. Even when you have all your ducks in a row someone can still figure out a way to jack someone else around if they want. People get rich doing it everyday. I'm not here to argue ethics. I do think that for every owner that tries to stick the screws to someone there are 2 or 3 out there checking and double and triple checking stuff to make sure they are giving their drivers a fair shake. Just my 2 cents worth. Take it however you want.
