ohio raises speed limt july 1 THIS year

surprised to not see this already posted.

    got a qc yesterday afternoon.

the truck limit goes to 65 across the state. after passing that change now ohio is thinking of raising the cars to 70.

can you say.....osp ticket fest if you are above 65?

This just shows how stupid Ohio is,they pass a law getting everyone at the same speed and then start thinking about increasing the four wheelers limit. All that will accomplish is that the trucks will definately be doing 70 m.p.h.

Stupid as Ohio is, [mental]Illinois is even worse: still have the split limit, AND they post the legal blood alcohol limit- what possible help can that be? [By the time you know what your BAC actually is, it's too late!]

Going to miss the "Passive Tailgating" I do in Ohio. Used to get 150ft behind a semi going 60-62 and I could run all day and get over 20mpg.

You frigin' people... you have no idea how to defend a nation. All you did was weaken a country today, Obama. That's all you did. You put people's lives in danger. Sweet dreams, son.

Ha,Ha,Ha. The national speed limit is somewhere between 75-80 mph. Show me the driver who does not exceed the posted limits in any state on the major expressways and I'll drink a gallon of diesel fuel. Speed limits in this country are a joke. It does not matter what speed is posted, people drive as if they had a 200 foot tidal wave following their behinds.
If the gov't really wanted to do something positive, they would gather all the speed limit signs, melt them down and remake enough steel to rebuild the world trade center.

Start drinking, in my personal car if I want to make sure I stay at the speed limit I have to set the cruise. If I don't I always end up 5 mph or more under the limit. Obviously in my van I rarely do the speed limit on the interstate to save on fuel costs.

He can drink one for me also. I am 61 and never had a speeding ticket in my adult life. Why? Cause I usually drive under the limit if it is 65 or over. 62 is about as fast as I will go. When the speed limit is posted at 35, I do 35, not 36, 37 , or 38. Just doing it my way.
