Re: toyota

True that OVM. Especially if you consider all the money spent and lives lost during WW2 and reconstructing their country after we whooped the dog crap out of them. If you think about it they would be nothing without us. The US didn't have to rebuild their country after we had to whoop them for acting stupid. I guess this is kinda turning soap boxish. I'll shut up now.

I saw a T-300 that had a large Nissan sign on the box parked at a t/s in MA. Didn't see the driver, I would have been asking questions.

Re: toyota

Toyota has an in house trucking company called Transfreight. They have big terminals in Cambridge and now Woodstock ON. I think the US HQ is in Erlanger KY, not 100% sure.

At the Honda plant in Alliston ON I have seen PII trucks.

Re: toyota

I have actually hauled more freight to Japanese-owned auto plants than I have for the Big 3. These are my most frequent flyers: Honda-Marysville, OH, Honda-Lincoln, AL, Toyota-Princeton, IN, Toyota- Buffalo, WV, Subaru/Toyota-Lafayette, IN, and Nissan-Smyrna,TN.
Quite frankly I would rather haul to the foreign plants. No UAW attitude.

No doubt so true about UAW boneheads, Smash your vehicle and look you right in the eye and say it wasn't us..Twice already. I have been to plenty of Japanese plants. I have a Ford and will keep it awhile. The Japanese auto industry hmmm well the main culprit is the Americans buying them. Let alone an American government letting them get away with dumping cas here.Let alone the American government that doesn't slap teh same tarriffs on the cars like the Japanese government does ours. Let alone Ford not doing a darn thing with their untill the 2009 model and its just a sheet metal change,,,You know the frame and basic vehicle is from what 1993? GMs from 2000? Not certain there. I mean look at the Taurus what a great forward car..Toyota,Honda, Nissan, had nothing equal..Ford did a couple of body changes since 1986.. but pretty much did nothing to it.The Japanese were quitely engineering better and better..Who's at fault? Ford for just sinking money and engineering into trucks and suvs or people wanted a better car?

WE as a consumer have done nothing wrong...Ford and GM as a company has....They couldn't built a better mouse trap!!
If you look at the "content" labels on these cars/trucks you'll see the North America content is virtually the same no matter what brand...it's just "where" they are assembled...if it weren't for Toyota, Nissan, Honda...this country would be alot worse off..
