Learning to look outside the box

I don't know about everyone else but usually when I sign on to EO it is just to see what the latest compliant or grip is, who is mad at whom, or who has decided to berate someone.

So it is straight to the Forum, but today I was at the Thermo King Dealer in Richfield, OH get my T-val stuff taken care of and Steve the service manager asked me if I had seen his ad here on EO. I said "no where is it?" and he told me in the Marketplace tab on top, I said "There is more than just the Classifieds and Forum?" Well low and behold there it was. So I checked it out and there was a 10% off coupon and my bill today was about $400.00 so guess what I SAVED $40.00 just because of EO. So in the future I will be checking the "other" tabs now that I have discovered them.
Like I said sometime we not only have to think outside the box but we need to look outside it too..LOL

I`m guilty of the same thing. I usually sign on to read my favorite forums, and also to sometimes get into the discussion, or I occasionally ask a question. The info that is available from the EO community on most any subject is great. There is ALOT to read on EO which is to their credit as they provide so many useful topics for an expediter. I normally don`t have time, to read all I`d like to read, and confine my participation mostly to THE LOADING DOCK, THE GENERAL FORUM, THE CLASSIFIEDS, and sometimes I read some of the other forums. It takes me a long time to answer my private messages usually, because I just don`t think to look to see if there are any. I think I`ve been interacting here since EO started, and over the years it has grown to be a very useful and entertaining place. THAT is not only a credit to Lawrence and his staff, but also to all of the EO members who come up with all of the interesting things they come up with. I even enjoy the "range wars"....well, up to a point. Now if I can only get that rotund dude from Bolt to stop popping up in my faCE whenever I sign in.
