Check w/ C & M, or Bolt or All State. I could be wrong, but I think any of those would run your wheels off. Oh and get a trailer w/ a lift gate.

I know when I was with TranStewart they seemed to be what I like to call an "Oppurtunity Fleet". Meaning they had some customers of there own, but alot of the freight came off of bid boards and what not. They seemed to dispatch trucks based on how they were set up. The rates for a straight were pretty good. That was 06 and I'm sure quite a bit has changed. You can give them a call though. It could never hurt.

At a loss, not wanting to dissagree or cut one down.

But this is trucking is it not? Some people on here have GREAT nitche's in the industry and do very well cause of them.... Study my poster, it will not come in one refrence but over time. In the mean time I ask what is wrong with a T.T. in Expedite.

Should I ever come back to Expedite, it will be TT with all those headaches and all those profits compared to competing for every load with a Straight truck. And nothing against straight trucks, but opportunity is opportunity and there is the choice of alot more runs with TT than straight. For $ I will work harder, smarter, and maybee longer.

Or so I hope.

well to answer your ? it must be the company you are with my company has limited tt loads as far as i have been told by the tt drivers i talk to i asked when i first came on would i do better with a tt or straight was told straight that is why im thinking about getting a smaller trailer because i can do more and still get tt loads when available im sure as a straight truck i lose some loads due to weight not due to amount of pallets so i figure kill 2 birds with 1 stone

If it is more beneficial to you to operate a t/t why not switch companies. Only makes sense to me that if they don't meet your business model then find one that does.

You folks that wanna "run what ya brung" and can't find anyone that is capable of accomodating you, then, do do it yousef. It is much, much, much more rewarding. Financially, personnaly and professionally. So much!! BUT, understand, your days of pointing fingers other than at yourself, are in fact over. When you state "they" don't wanna pay enough, send me to NYC, send me to BFE, or, whatever, ya gotta understand, YOU be the "they". So, go for it, and be rewarded.

Definitely agree with the Col! More work involved, but the rewards are larger, IF you're ready to take on the burden. Your 28, 32, or 40' trailer would get used quite often, front to back. Not everything is 22'D or 53'E... you have 31 feet in between to play with. Just be prepared to spend a lot to get things going.

you asked "who will" in the first post. maybe if you tell us who you have contacted we could go further to help you along.

didn't you say in another thread that the truck that started you thinking about this was an rjr unit? have you contacted them?
