Re: Panther Receives Landstar Award
I wonder how much that helps or hurts their ICs? I mean vehicle availabilty to me sounds like a bunch of trucks sitting around empty.

Re: Panther Receives Landstar Award
Don't know how many Landstar trucks are sitting empty but I know we do loads for them. Some are from Panther and some are brokered. As long as they pay it is just another opportunity.

well for peace it was Mohamed ElBaradei a sham appotment really more about sticking it to the usa then about world peace last year was the anti-elvis ,al gore, and even bigger sham
two years ago for physics it was Mather and Soot for there work on dark matter
ElBaradei and Gore are of no importance but Mather and Soots work does show promise

Well ain't that the truth, most of the UN is about hating the US.
Mather and Smoot won the prize for Physics, but the real issue to show that the Nobel committee is a lot like the UN is the fact that ALGORE won the peace prize. Beside showing his contempt for the country and adding to his riches while beating out someone who really deserved it - Irena Sendler.
Now she didn't do anything like create a bunch of false hype on an issue that many are trying hard to close off any debate and has little scientific data backing it.
No she didn't do a thing to deserve it, she wasn't flying around in the country, adding co2 to the air while telling others that they need to return to the stone age.
Instead she and a few others back in the 40's in occupide Poland helped Jewish families get their children out of the ghetto while she was working for the government. Working with the church, she and others placed over 3000 children with families who were not Jewish and she personally smuggled out children from the Ghetto. She didn't do much though she made sure that there were records kept for the kids to be returned to their relatives after the war. When she was discovered, beaten, tortured, was sentence to death but escaped death and left in the woods with broken arms and legs.
Who really deserves the prize, some hypocrite or some hero?
Oh and about Landstar, who cares it is an outside vendor award if I am not mistaken.

Yabut, this IS a political year. Some things (every) need to be political. Next year'll be different, everyones candidate will be elected, an we'll be a happy campers again. At least I know I will.

Actually we hijacked Phil's thread about Panther getting the Landstar award, which it would have been nice to see something written instead of just a link.
But at least I did comment about Landstar.
You with Panther?

The next 4 years should be real interesting...some people could be eating a lot of crow or sipping from the glass slipper....

Re: Panther Receives Landstar Award
In Greg's case, the agenda is not hidden. Notwithstanding the fact that The Soapbox fourm is for political opinions, he splatters his political views in several forums and many topics, as seen in this thread. It does not matter what the original topic is, Greg often injects his political views, often at great length.
