you are correct my friend , yes indeed ...
unfortunately at this date , i will never have the chance of visiting the Expo.
as it is always just a short 2 weeks ahead of Brainerd .
Brainerd , M.N is the only vacation i try to take once a year.
it is the Home of B.I.R (NHRA) every Aug. ....Best of M.N !!!
might be a no-go this year tho ...

Re: Going to the Expo
We had fun putting some more screen faces to names and meeting many more lurkers! Molly made many new friends and now has been immortalized with the chainsaw carver’s rendition of her. Turned out great.
We missed a few people who came to the Expo and really feel bad about that. Next year have to figure out a new way of getting together. We need a meeting point!
We did have a few really nice cookouts at the Idlebusters camper and maybe next year that is where we need to meet.

I really missed spending some fun time with y'all, as Susie & Jeannie & Linder are friends of mine too, but at least I did move some freight: a total of 3729 loaded miles for the week - best I've ever done, solo. And, to top off such a great week, tomorrow I plan to dip my toes in the Great Salt Lake - small consolation for missing what was probably my last chance to hug TerryandRene, but we learn to take what we can get, in life. Maybe next year.....

Re: Going to the Expo
I second the suggestion to meet up at Idlebuster camp. The candybar couple are really great folks. Good to see those I knew already, good to meet those I'd only heard of before. You just can't beat grill'n with fellow expediters. Wish there were more chances to do it.

Re: Going to the Expo
And to think we get paid to do this! We had a great evening, perfect weather, great food, and great conversation! [well most of it!] The last evening BBQ was really the perfect way to end a fun couple days! There was also much discussion on getting together next year at MATS over in the Papa John’s parking lot!
The chainsaw guy and his family were really great people to get to know and Molly had lots of compliments on her bust!
