jaminjim,not sure about the fuel tax at all.money was taken out of our pay that was originally listed as load insurance,now money is being taken out of pay and listed as fuel tax and workers insurance(this change occured in last two months,with no explanation)Wasn't sure how fuel tax worked,how often its taken etc.Appreciate any help.So far it was taken for oct 07 out of this months pay and then once again this week but no date given for when it is applied to.needless to say,very confusing.

You need to find out IMM. Do not ask us members of EO this is a problem and one you need answers to Yesterday!!!! Otherwise your getting the screw driver taken to ya.

They need to explaine to you how it works if you need a listing of all of the States fuel tax puchase the Rand McNally make a photo copy of the States Map (all 50) and write in the fuel tax in each State. This is how I know what each State charges vs looking it up in alpha order that they have. (Rand McNally) I tape this copy to the front and back of my Map. Any further deductions NEEDS a phone call with an EXPLANATION any deductions that come as a shock!.

Your a Business person, NOW RUN IT LIKE A BUSINESS, and not just as OH WELL I will ask else where. This is the difference between staying in business and not. Sorry for the Bluntness often the Truth Hurts.

I am almost assuming you have no contract with this owner? I am also assuming you haven't read much here at EO.
For new folks, this whole mess could have been avoided with just a little education reading through the forums.

In this case, it is water under the bridge as now he is dealing with the problem. There are some good posts in the archives dealing with just fuel tax computation.

I think your problems may be alittle bigger than just the fuel tax issue. If you want to PM me I will be glad to help you.
