Has Panther II been bought out?

The rumor mill has it been bought out by UPS, might be true since UPS changed its name as stated on here, So that would make Con Way come under UPS. The rumor also states the UPS will cut half of the vans off. Was told this all over, just did a run from Dayton to LA, CAILF, then picked up in Oakland to Nashville, then went to Knoxville and pick up for Dayton Nice 5500 Miles for 8 days work

RE: Has Panther II been bought out?

It is nothing more than a rumor just like it was last week and last month and last year when it came up over and over. Until you hear it from one of the executives at Panther in a face to face discussion, receive it as a msg over your QC, or hear it from Dave or me or another of the Panther Driver Council representatives PLEASE ignore it. You are going to hear this over and over and over and over and over and then some from all sorts of people who are not high enough on the food chain to know what they are talking about. Some of them won't even be with Panther. They'll be drivers for other carriers who have even less knowledge of what's going on at Panther. It is business as usual and will be the same until you get that QC msg or hear it from a Panther executive.
