Broompilot is right.
I do consulting for a company that had a driver put out of service
July 5 at 8am. The officer said the day before or the day after a
holiday is the "perfect" time to catch violations. Everyone knows you
push to get home and then leave a little late after.
No one has to cheat on their logs. Just keep the left door shut.
As for the 100 miles and the taking the truck to motels or repairs,
the company you are leased to will have the final say as to how you
are to log.
Get used to all the rules, EOB data will not get you out of a jam
when you lied your way into it. Computers are here to stay, learn
how to log correctly, use them to your advantage.
