The Last 2 Weeks
These last 2 weeks have been really wild.
Detroit to Laredo
Laredo to Virginia Beach
Virginia Beach to Detroit
Detroit to Laredo
Laredo to Belvidere,Il.
Breakdown at weigh station coming into Missouri.
Throwout bearing goes bad, destroys pressure plate and clutch.
Get towed 56 miles to freightliner dealer in Sikeston,Mo.
Now here i sit at the Days Inn in Sikeston,Mo until
probably Wednesday.
Oh well at least the owner is paying for the room.
But i did find a Fraternal Order Of Eagles Club here.
so i guess i will just go and have a couple of cheap beers.

RE: The Last 2 Weeks
Sounds like a nice haul! Been doing respectable, myself, the last two weeks.
Livonia to Louisville
Louisville to Denver
Lincoln, NE to York, PA
York, PA to Winston Salem
Would have had more, but a family emergency brought me home. Always seems to be something that screws up my momentum. But I'm looking forward to a great July/Aug, then take a decent break in Sept. I have to say the wife's been really understanding about keeping the momentum and postponing vacation time. I guess the money talks LOL

RE: The Last 2 Weeks
Like mine,
Living room to the kitchen
Kitchen to the living room
Living room to the mail box
Mail box to the basement
Basement back to the living room
Seriously I can't complain, doing ok right now and have been dispatched with a rather great paying long 24 mile load. Almost $10/mile.

Bolt doesn't seem to come up much don't really know much about them. How long you been with them, what kind of loaded miles are you doing, etc?

RE: The Last 2 Weeks
I drive for an owner.
Have been with them for 1.5 yrs nows
I am averaging about 1500 miles a week solo.
Have never sat more than 3 days waiting on a load
Except for now with the breakdown.
Have been very happy with Bolt.

RE: The Last 2 Weeks
Looks as if your average just went up to what? About 3500 miles a week? Glad to see someone is makin' money. How are things with the HOS rules? I am a little surprised to see some of those runs given to a solo. Evidently, those loads allowed for layover, huh? Congrats!

RE: The Last 2 Weeks
Thanks TEC: My only complaint with Bolt, and this has been going on since i started with them.Is that they never put enough money on my com card for fuel.I am constantly calling in before i deliver the load for more money for fuel.
There is no problem getting the extra money. But if they would just add about 200 dollars more onto the card there would be no problem.

RE: The Last 2 Weeks
Thanks on the congrats Jeff.
Those last 2 weeks were just a stroke of luck.
I wish they were all like that.
Just being in the right place at the right time.
On the average i am doing 1500 a week.
Which is fine with me.
The owner pays me .45 cents a loaded mile.
If i do over 2000 miles for the week i get .50 cents
for any miles over 2000.
He pays all fuel and tolls and any maintenence on truck.
LIFE IS GOOD.
