There are a few companies that look around the whole log thing. I'm not going to name names, because that would be suicidal for everyone involved. And actually, the 45-50 baseline that the dispatchers lay down is only for a bidding time. The actual that you can run on average is usually around 60 mph, depending on the states you are travelling thru. That being said, the best you can run in a calendar day, after fueling, is around 600-660 miles a day (60 mph X 11 hours of driving).
I've actually been able to run 700 miles in an 11 hour period legally, on a hot load thru Oklahoma and Texas. Doesn't happen much, but good to know that you can do it if needed.
