It's not so much the address, it's the LESSON PLAN that came with it. Why do the teachers need the suggestions (nudge) of the government on which direction to take their student's minds concerning this speech?

If the President wants to encourage the children to stay in school, etc., that's a good thing, but when the government includes "lesson plans" that originally (since revised) included activities that appeared to be focused around HIM (surprise!), then parents are going to object.

Early reports were that the "lesson plans" for 7-12 grades included reading his books......uh, I draw the line.

Go back to the election....who can forget this VIDEO of the teacher berating a student for backing McCain. Do we need to open up the opportunity for more of this?

As I said, I'm all for the President trying to encourage education, stay in school, personal responsibility......DON'T SMOKE, etc., but when it turns into all about him.....NO.
