Anytime you rent a car on the road it is deductible. And also while you are home you can deduct the mileage on your car when you are using it for business i.e...Going to the post office, dropping off the TripPak, getting supplies to load the fridge in the truck, going to the bank and things such as this. Just remember to note the mileage in a note book and what the reason was for the trip.
Also do you know that if you were to fly home while your truck is being repaired or decided to visit the truck shows those tickets would be deductible, also if you decided to travel by car to the truck shows your mileage would be deductible there also
