I think most members here would recommend driving for a fleet owner that has trucks leased to an expedite carrier. This will give you a feel for the industry and help you make a more informed decision as to what truck to buy when the time comes. This is different than OTR truckload driving.

You really should do some reading. Especially the two newbies forums. Many of your questions have been answered there.

My business plan was to make van loads of money. In over 11 years that particular business plan has not been beneficial to me. It might be time to roll out plan "B".
