Re: single screw or double

No way will we spec a twin screw truck due to the rolling resistance of the extra axle. With fuel prices constantly going up and up we will continue to run a single axle and we will have a lift axle. We put shock absorbers on our lift axle and this made all the difference in the world with the ride.

With the SS the ride is also greatly improved. We have run our SS on ice and had no problems and we also did not get stuck this past year. We have only been stuck running duals. The chains are heavy but you can manage them and we have no worries about installing the chains. We also carry cable chains which will be easier to install.

We run an air pressure system with our SS and do not worry about getting stuck along side of the road. How often have you ruined a tire going down the road? It can happen and it can happen in many situations but with the savings you get running the SS you can afford a tow truck.
