Actually, the weight of your truck, as it crosses the scale when entering the toll booth, determines toll class on the OHTP. The next time you're on the 'Pike, look at the back of the ticket, it is imprinted with the toll class. My truck ('99 International 9200, 10 wheeler), without freight, is a Class3 when it's low on fuel and Class4 with tanks full.
