Re: car rental deduction?

Hi all,

The answer to this question is confusing to a lot of DRIVERS.

[b] If you are on the Road and Rent a Car to transport yourself to a hotel, Motel or home while your truck is in the shop for repairs. then the expenses is totally deductible.

If you drive the rental home, once you arrive home then any expense incurred is NOT Deductible. But, Once you leave your home to go pick up the truck, IT IS DEDUCTIBLE.

In your log books, You enter the time your truck goes in the shop and log off duty. even if you go home. then when it is picked up an back in service. you go back to your regular logging.
