I'm not picking on you, just pointing something out for our viewing/listening audience. I'd say your unfortunate experience is even more proof of why this "rule" is always repeated. Murphy doesn't care about the full warranties and maintenance programs, he just sees an opportunity where the emergency fund isn't there as backup.
