Re: Favorite Meals in the Truck

I frequently make "HODPODGE" in the crockpot:

1 small chuck steak or roast, cubed
several small potatoes (can use can spuds)
carrots (I usually use a bg of mini carrots)
1 packet onion soup mix
sm can mushrooms (optional)
1 cup water
1 large sliced onion

Layer meat, onions, mushrooms, carrots, then potatoes. Mix soup mix with water then pour on top. Cook in crockpot on high.
Sometimes I'll add a beef bouilian cube or a can of ,mushroom soup. The best part of this recipe is that it's very versatile.
I do most of our cooking in a crockpot. You can make beans & frank, kielbasa & sourkraut, soup, stews, etc.
