RE: Classification for P/U w Trailer?
Ricky,
I am not sure what exactly that you are looking for, in reference to hot shot , do you want to transport cars, trucks, or just general freight, cars/ trucks normally no tarps or sides are required, only problem is any damage to them you are responsible for, thrown rocks, etc that hits the vehicles or RV's, Other is General Freight, which tarping will probably be required. As far as logging there is definitely a possibility that you will have to log, depends on the company that you decide to lease to. plus what your GVW will be loaded.
But if you look on the net under trucking/alabama, you will find 219 trucking co'S, 34 auto transporters aND 24 TRUCK TRANSPORTERS, TRY CALLING EACH OF THEM AND SEE WHAT THEY OFFER, IT REALLY DOESNT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE WHERE THE COMPANY IS LOCATED, OR DOES IT MATTER, IF YOUR PLANNING ON BEING HOME MORE THAT ONCE IN 2 WEEKS DONT EVEN THINK OF DOING IT. BECAUSE YOU REALLY HAVE TO STAY OUT ABOUT 10-14 DAYS, IN ORDER TO TRY AND GET SOMETHING GOING TOWARD THE HOUSE. tHAT IS UP TO YOU.
