Thunder Storms

Thunder Storms

When I was young I lived in Arizona in an adobe ranch house with a tin roof. In southern Arizona living on a cattle ranch, rain is something that is looked upon with great joy.

The sound of the rain hitting the tin roof was very loud and usually sounded much worse then it was. Now in the truck and waking up to a great thunderstorm with rain still starts my day with a smile. My preference is to be stopped when enjoying a nice rain with thunderstorm as it is peaceful.

This morning in Hudson, WI I woke up to the sound of thunder and rain and checked the weather forecast. It appears the rain will last all morning so my plans will change as we do not have a load at this time. Normally I like to do my laundry on Sunday but I will change that to this morning and we will get the truck serviced. On Sunday it is not supposed to rain so we can get our chores done that involve being outside.

Sitting here in the cab of the truck with my seat swiveled, kicked back reclining and enjoying my coffee with my panoramic view of the storm is another of the small pleasures of this profession.

Take each day as it comes and make the best of it!
